I'm working on my new, hopefully improved, digital work flow for the upcoming snowboard season. Getting my hard drives for backups and archives ready... Just found these Freestyle motoX photos from the summer of 2004. Man, it's a while ago since I last shot FMX. Got some ideas, maybe I'll get a chance in 09. So here are some dusty slide scans from a few years ago:

kind of a record cover
My friend Sepalot got a new mix for download. And a photo from our Bolivia trip serves as cover art. Just head over to his website and download it for free!
If you're into electronic music, you'll love this mix!

picture in picture
Picture in picture - no, not the feature that your TV had to have back in the 90s. I just found this ad from the resort Northstar at Tahoe in the current issue of Transworld Snowboard Magazine. Sorry for the quality, I just took a snapshot with my cell phone from it.
Can you see the graphics of the obstacle? I shot the photo for the graphics with Eero Ettala last year in Munich (Client: Oakley). It's him standing "inside" the rail armed with a marker and writing stuff on the plexiglas. Kinda funny to see the rail appear in photos every once and while.

bad weather tree runs
It's been bad weather the last few days. That means a) tree runs. And b) the photographer gets to ride as well. And that again meant I could finally ride my new Burton Fish board! It's strange to ride such a different shape after so many years. Check out the photos below, I had to take a picture, it just looked so unusual looking down... But the board rides great, it's really worth having such a shape as a second board for powder. By the way except the riding shot, it's cell phone pictures, so be lenient toward me concerning the quality...
the Fish (with a Dachshund and Sheep sticker, very radical of me)
the tail is almost non existing
...let's go for another run
Europa Brücke (Bridge), always impressive...
Planet Sports Ads
Some examples of my work: 3 layouts of the Planet Sports Ads I shot. The most recent one features David Benedek and Christoph Weber. Planet Sports got a rad snowboard team, check it out at their website.
For people who get by google on my blog searching for Isenseven Clothing, Planet Sports sells their apparel, ships everywhere, just go to their online shop.

Weekend in Madrid
On a regular basis people email me questions on photography. I'm quite surprised that so many are interested if you shoot film or not. I really have to say what does it matter if you can't tell the difference? If you shoot selectivly and print out your digital photos and throw them in a shoebox, it's pretty much the same for most purposes.
Yes, I do shoot film, mostly for personal use. I end up scanning the prints to be able to share them with my friends who are often subjects of the photos. Digi would be much easier. By the way, I get good processing but buy the cheapest prints. Only a few picks get printed in good quality.
This summer I spent a weekend in Madrid with my girlfriend and shot one roll of Portra NC with my Nikon FM3 and a 50mm 1.8. Here are some of the infamous scans:

some snapshots from the exhibit
A really nice event was going down in Munich this weekend, the first annual snowboard film festival (and at the same time a little trade show). Hans Herbig and I showed snowboard photographs at the venue which turned out quite nice. Check out some snapshots here on the right.
Trade show was cool, great brands, resorts and shops. The party was killer: DJ Stylewarz, Soulforce and a rap freestyle session with Roger & Schu (Blumentopf) and Roger Rekless.
The best part was watching snowboard movies on a giat IMAX screen. Three days in a row, from early afternoon till almost midnight you could watch classics like Afterbang or Simple Pleasure as well as bangers like That's It That's All and even both of this years Isenseven movies.
