DAILY BUSINESS

The news from Japan are unbelievable. My thoughts are with the Japanse.

Japan is a great country with great people. We had a really good time on every single trip there. This year we had amazing snowconditions, a lot of bad weather days though and a one of a kind bluebird day. We went snowboarding on every day since our arrival and don't get me wrong, it's not boring at all, but you'll develop some routines being on the same schedule each day. And this is how our days mostly looked like.

hiking, hiking, hiking. Lot of work goes into making it look effortless
a little backside air in the morning to get in the right mood for the day
deep snow, sprayed faces
back at the hotel, drying clothes and camera gear, doing some reading
get into the supplied socks, slippers and ninja suit and hit the spa
Asahidake bluebird. White smoke is in full effekt. Ready for some action on the Vulcano.
Stop. Turn.
Fresh snow, sun is shining, dropping cliffs.

JAPAN EARLY BIRD

The view at 5am from my hotel room. Ready to go to the spa and for a day of hiking through waist to chest deep snow. Not the worst thing in the world, but it will burn calories faster than a European stomach can digest traditional salmonella hot pot made in Japan.

OUT-TAKES DAY 1

I fell behind with updates from our trip to Japan, I'll be catching up with some posts during the next weeks. To start things off, here's a out-take from day 1.
